Every year in August the club hosts the Canberra Sled Dog Classic. This has traditionally been the last major race for the season and many mushers spend a few days in Canberra either side of the weekend.
It is one of the largest races on the circuit. The dedication and effort that our club members put into this race makes it extremely successful and most mushers come back year after year.
The CSDC will again be hosting the race in Kowen Forest, Sutton Road, Queanbeyan.
Come along and watch the dogs and mushers this year at our 13th annual race on the 15th & 16th August 2009. Racing commences at 6.45am and there will be a gold coin collection at the gate and all proceeds from this will go to the RSPCA and ARF.
